On December 9, 2024, the home report of the 11th International Forum on the Integration of Industry and Education Development Strategy was held in Huanghuai College.

Lu Xin, President of China Vocational and Technical Education Association and former Vice Minister of the Ministry of Education, made a keynote report on the topic of "Strengthening Applied Colleges and Universities: Historical Mission of Building a powerful Education Country". The report system summarizes the transformation trajectory and achievements of local colleges and universities in the past ten years from transformation to finalization. Lu Xin pointed out that on the new journey of building a powerful education country, application-oriented colleges and universities, as the basic force for ideological and political construction, the backbone force for scientific and technological innovation, and the leading force for the transformation of results, should actively adapt to the development trend of industries such as digital economy, emerging industries, future industries, and software industries during the "15th Five-Year Plan" period, and constantly enhance their ability to serve the major strategic deployment of the country and regional innovation and development. To undertake the historical mission of building an educational powerhouse.


Professor Guo Yajun, Chief scientist of the National Key Laboratory of Macromolecular Drugs and Large-scale Preparation of Wenzhou Medical University, made a keynote speech on the topic of "Thinking on the Mode of In-depth Integration of production and Education Development". Taking the National Key Laboratory of Macromolecular Drugs and Large-scale Preparation of Wenzhou Medical University as a case study, the opportunities and challenges faced by the biomedical field were comprehensively analyzed, and the new model of industry-university-research-medical collaboration in the upstream and downstream chain was shared. Focusing on the development needs of the pharmaceutical industry, we will deepen the reform of the system and mechanism of the integration of production and education and the integration of science and education, build an organized scientific research system, and continue to transport outstanding applied talents for the society. Give full play to the advantages of the platform, strengthen collaborative innovation, and promote the rapid transformation and application of new technologies, new products and new models in the field of biomedicine.


Mr. John Hopcroft, winner of the Turing Award and a foreign academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, delivered a keynote speech on the theme of "The 101 Program and the Reform of China's Higher Education".

He suggests four strategies for improving the quality of education at China's lower-ranked universities:

The first is to carry out teacher training programs, using the resources of the top 30 universities to provide one-year training for teachers of the later ranked universities;

The second is to expand the mission of top universities by sending their best teachers to teach at lower-ranked institutions;

The third is to organize teachers to compile portfolios for all colleges and universities to share and constantly improve; The fourth is to implement teaching quality supervision and improve teaching level through teaching assessment cards.



Zhang Li, Secretary-General of the National Education Advisory Committee and former director of the Education Development Research Center of the Ministry of Education, made a keynote report on the theme of "Strategic Planning and the Construction of a powerful education country". Li Li pointed out that the education of a powerful country is a systematic project, which requires a good grasp of the relationship between the overall and local, current and long-term, macro and micro, main contradiction and secondary contradiction, special and general; Taking into account the supporting argumentation of policies and the evaluation and analysis of implementation results, deepening the comprehensive reform in the field of education around the new "three education coordination" and "three integration", and strengthening the cooperation between the education system and the scientific and technological sector, the industry and all sectors of society; Anchor the core topic of "cultivating people", improve the school and family social education mechanism, and create a new pattern of education development through multi-party coordination.

The four expert reports of the Home report are rich in content, in-depth and extensive in revealing problems, and the suggestions and opinions put forward are practical and feasible, providing powerful guidance for how to build a strong application-oriented university during the "15th Five-Year Plan" period.
